Softron, a leading provider of software solutions in Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay, is proud to announce that Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires has selected its family of testing and debugging tools.

Founded in 1822, six years after Argentina became an independent nation, the Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, known as Banco Provincia, is the oldest bank in South America.

After experiencing several institutional changes, since 1946 Banco Provincia is a self-administered public entity of the Province of Buenos Aires. Today, with over 400 local branches and over 10 overseas branches and representative offices, Banco Provincia is one of the largest banks in Argentina and the main funding source for the development of the productive sectors of the Province of Buenos Aires, where 38% of the population of the country lives and is responsible for 35% of its GDP.

ASG-SmartTest, the interactive tester and debugger solution provided by Softron, with its language intelligence and automated testing and debugging facilities, is helping Banco Provincia in the implementation of SUR, its new core banking system, instrumental to the bank’s current policy of expansion.

Benefits of the solution:
